What our guests say…

We appreciate the wonderful comments our guests make, both as Airbnb reviews and on our Guest Book pages.

Here are some from both sources

We very much enjoyed our stay. Everything was exactly as described and extremely clean. We purchased the additional bed. I slept on it and it was very comfortable. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations and was better than most continental breakfasts you’d receive at a hotel in the States. Everything about our stay was enjoyable. It’s a great spot to stay and relax. We only planned a quick one night stop in Bluff, but next time we plan to stay longer and stay with Keri again. Thank you!.

Wonderful, clean, modern place with beautiful views and easy to find. It is an easy walk either direction to the Bluff ‘Chain’ sculpture and the other way into town. Our hosts had the door open for fresh air before we arrived and is furnished beautifully with extra blankets if needed, but the heat pump was nice and warm. Private, off street parking around the back. Excellent stay.

It’s hard when in a beautiful place like Bluff your accommodation is equally beautiful & relaxing. I think the only way around this is staying longer. Beautiful airbnb, great location as well. I am already looking at my calendar how I can be back here next year. Next time sharing the experience with my partner. Thanks heaps Keri and whānau

Fantastic location and little house! We enjoyed our (short) stay and found the info. manual particularly thought-provoking and interesting re your family connection to the region and culture. Thanks for having us! Really liked the Maori language signs/info too. And very comfortable too!

Rua was a lovely little place to stay, with some really interesting information provided about how it was culturally significant to the family who hosted us. We wish we could have stayed a little longer to enjoy reading some of the books provided! It provided the perfect spot to springboard to our Rakiura trek we had booked, and the ferry was nearby and easy to get to. The fresh milk and cookies provided were appreciated. The apartment was spotless and comfortable, with lots of labels and information in traditional Māori language which was fascinating. We appreciated the effort made to create a thoughtful and sustainable stay.

Had a wonderful 4 nights here while attending the nz schools mtb champs, Keri was most accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed. Rua@Bluff is centrally located within the town with superb ocean views from the doorstep, very peaceful sitting watching the boats pass by. Studio cosy unit with all we needed. Totally recommend Rua@Bluff to anyone

Staying at Bluff? then this is your place to book. Really great comms with Keri and the unit is cosy and warm. Brilliant bedding. Bathroom is perfect. The frying pan is just great. Loved the chair next to bed. It was so good It’s a 20 min Walk to supermarket ( Very good and the staff are helpful n friendly )and the ferry which goes to Stewart Island. (1 hr ride) Stewart Island is inviting - not cheap $170 round trip but it’s a bucket list - You won’t be disappointed. RUA is far enough away from the main drag but close enough (if that makes sense) to have some peace. The private parking is fab. It’s a perfect 👍🏾 place to stay. Think 🤔 it’s better than the pics. Thanks 🙏

I couldn’t fault a single thing about my stay. The room was so comfortable - I arrived after dark on a cold day and Keri had turned the heat pump on and left a lamp on for me. The towels were so soft and fluffy and the shower pressure was insanely amazing. Everything was extremely clean and tidy - I feel like I could have eaten off any surface! Awesome location and great value for money. Thank you Keri!

It’s a home away from home. I booked Keri’s place as I did some work at Southport, her place is sparkling clean, bed is comfy (with bed heaters), nice bathroom and a well equiped kitchen. I love how Keri will have the heater on ready for you before you arrive mentioned in the other reviews (as I flew in late), it’s true! There’s a place for you to park at the back so it’s easy to grab things out of your car. The view every morning is beatiful, it’s also very close to Stirling Point and Oyster Cove. Would be amazing for morning/afternoon walks too! There’s a takeaway shop and a supermarket close by so very handy place to stay when you’re in Bluff. Will definitely be back.

Keri’s place was amazing. We booked so last minute and within 10 minutes of booking all instructions were sent to my emails. Easy out of hours check in, key left in lockbox. Could extend one extra night with late notice. Great experience.
